Welcome To my first ever blog post. I don’t write The King’s English and certainly don’t speak The King’s English so therefore I’m using Google Voice to Text in Google Docs. if there’s grammar errors or spelling errors please ask for a refund.

Here I will discuss my photography and anything else I want. I plan to mix in a little comedy with some educational photography stuff. They tell me I have to right or my case speak 400 words or more so this might be challenging.

Anyway here’s my story, I’ve always been interested in photography but somehow work got in the way (and still does…the nerve!). I would pick up my camera for a couple weeks and then it would sit for months at a time. In 2016 I got burned out from a corporate job and decided I needed a hobby. Because of my love of photography I bought a nice camera. a Nikon d500 and a couple of used lenses. I would go out on the weekends in Oklahoma to try and take my mind off of work. Unfortunately it was too late. by the time you realize that you’re burned out chances are it is too late. I had been in Oklahoma for 3 years and although I love it there and the people, I was missing Arizona. I left my job and moved back to Arizona but actually couldn’t find a job in the first year. So I decided should I put my camera to work and began to really concentrate on social media and just getting better at photography.

The last year that I was in Oklahoma I spent hours watching YouTube videos on photography and tutorials on editing. Nearly everything I have learned has come from YouTube. What a time to be alive. You can learn everything on YouTube. it really came down to probably seven or eight people that I regularly check their videos for tutorials. Even still today I’ll check out and see what they are teaching me that I haven’t learned. Occasionally I’ll look at some other videos but the main ones have been constant for the last 2 to 3 years. There are so many gifted channels, it’s hard to keep track of all of them at first. After a while their style comes out and becomes much easier to learn because of the way they teach. At some point in the near future I will start a YouTube channel and do some tutorials.

Here is my first ever Instagram post. As you can see, that took talent!!!

I have intentionally have left up every post so I can see the progression. At some point I should only put up my favorites…at least that’s what “THEY” say. Fast forward a couple of years and you can see some growth!
